About

I’ve been studying puppetry for thirteen years.

Along the way, I’ve met interesting people who sit on the edges of society, sometimes misunderstood—but inside the puppetry world, they believe in the artform.

These are a few of my stories.

Fuck the Strings is an ongoing journal documenting my life and experiences inside contemporary puppetry — the making of puppets, performances, commissions, contacts, and the strange intimacy of giving objects a voice. This is not a portfolio or a shop. It is a record of practice.

Featuring comic strips designed and produced by the brilliant Arf the Artist. You can explore more of his work here.
